Fort Town Night Run

PLEASE COME PREPARED TO RUN

You are expected to arrive on site 30 minutes before your start time.

You need to register at the Registration Tent, where you will receive your chip timed bib. The Bag Check Tent will be beside the Registration Tent for your convenience.

Afterwards, you will be sorted into your appropriate colour line.

Moments before your run begins, your host will share a brief story, puzzle tools, and then

YOU RUN!

On the course, about every kilometre or so, you will encounter a Puzzle Zone:

Each Puzzle Zone will have five (5) stations. Each station is colour marked. Stay with your designated colour.

You will be given three (3) minutes to solve the puzzle.

If you succeed in completing the puzzle under the time limit, you will receive the next clue and you continue your run;

If you fail to complete the puzzle in time, you will be asked to stop, and the clue will be given to you. You will be asked to continue your run and a two (2) minute Penalty will be added to your time

If you arrive at a Puzzle Zone and a team is already at your designated station, you will be given a Time Credit (which begins when your team is on the mat as you enter the Puzzle Zone);

A team is allowed to pass another team while on the course;

When you finish the race, you will be awarded a time. But don’t be fooled! Depending on Penalties and Credits, your final time might be very different. Ranking will be based on Team Average Time.

Race Kits will be given at the end of your run, where food services and friends of the race will have booths to share information about their events/programs.
